Mobile Computers

Mobile Computing refers to the ability to use technology that is not physically connected, or in remote or mobile (non static) environments. This is achieved by enabling mobile computing activities to be connected wirelessly to and through the internet or to and through a private network. This connection ties the mobile device to centrally located information and/or application software through the use of battery powered, portable, and wireless computing and communication devices.

Some of the mobile computing based applications include using GPRS to track vehicles or Wide Area Networks by utilising satellites to track exact locations of any vehicle or individual or by connecting local area networks between companies and subsidiaries via wireless networks
